Obituary

In Loving Memory

My Beloved, Kenneth Dean Jackman, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2021, at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born October 8, 1959, and was raised in El Dorado, Kansas by his parents Robert and Frances Jackman. He is survived by his wife Joanna Jackman (Petrik/Christian), son Micah Jackman, sister Nancy Hager (Jackman), nephew Stephen Hager, and many other nieces, nephews, and family members.

Ken had a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and was self-employed as a Quality Control Auditor. When he wasn’t travelling for work, he loved politics, going to movies, dinners out, and the many fur babies (cats and dogs) that he and Joanna shared. He had a great sense of humor and loved to share a joke and make people laugh. Ken was a very kind and generous soul, who was beloved by all of his friends and family.

“Ken was a gift from God to me and he will live in my heart until my heart stops beating. When we married, we chose forever.” – Joanna Jackman

There will be a visitation on May 21, 2021 at 10:00 am followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dennis Parish, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, WI 53714.

Ken and I met in 1971. We were on the same little league football team. Junior High School, High School, and K-State; what great times! He was my "Best Man" just 37 short years ago. God bless you Joanna, you brought him so much happiness.
